RSCDS Central Iowa Special Events:

35th Annual Ball Weekend of the RSCDS Central Iowa Branch on May 2-3, 2026!. The Ball will commence during the afternoon of Saturday, May 2 with the Grand March at 2:00 pm. The walk-throughs will happen before each dance rather than as a separate session. The Ball music will be provided by Widdershins (Annie Grieshop, Gary Lieberman, Linda Lieberman, Peggy Garrigues, Lindsay Grow, and possibly more) and highland bagpipes played by Joe Smith. Snacks and appetizers will be furnished at the Ball and a Potluck Supper made available afterwards at a nearby location. We’ll offer a farewell Potluck Brunch on Sunday, May 3, followed by some English Country and Ceilidh Dancing to live music played by Cecil’s Harp. The Saturday Ball and Sunday Brunch both will be at the auditorium of the Collegiate United Methodist Church-Wesley Foundation Annex, 130 S. Sheldon Avenue, Ames, Iowa. Save this date!
