Spring Ball 2022
The RSCDS Central Iowa Branch will sponsor its 31st Annual Ball Weekend on April 29-30, 2022! The festivities begin with a Friday night concert via Zoom of Celtic music provided by Terpsichore: pianist Liz Donaldson and fiddler Elke Baker! The spring ball will be held on Saturday night, April 30 at 7:00 pm in the Collegiate United Methodist Church Annex auditorium at 130 S. Sheldon Avenue in Ames, Iowa. Music for this small ball will be furnished by Widdershins: Annie Grieshop (piano), Gary Lieberman (winds, guitar, etc), Linda Lieberman (whistles, clarinet, drum), and special guest Peggy Garrigues (fiddle).
We are requiring masks and COVID-19 vaccinations for all attendees. Thank you for doing your part to keep us all safe! There will not be a separate walk-through of the dances during the afternoon. Volunteers will walk and talk-though each dance at the ball itself.
The recommended donation at the door will be $20-$30; we will not supply a registration form to be sent through the mails. Thank you for helping to pay for our musicians, the hall, and other expenses. We will not have a sit-down dinner before the dance this year. We hope to provide an assortment of desserts and snacks during the ball. Please bring finger food to share.
