May 4th & 5th of 2024
An Evening of Scottish Country Dance in Celebration of Spring
Live music will be provided by Widdershins: Annie Grieshop (piano), Gary Lieberman (clarinet, flute, saxophone, etc), Linda Lieberman (whistles), and Peggy Garrigues (fiddle). Piper Joe Smith will lead the Grand March.

Schedule of Events:
Saturday, May 4:
33rd Annual Ball: All events at the Collegiate United Methodist Church-Wesley Foundation Annex, 130 S. Sheldon Avenue, Ames, Iowa. We will gather in the main Auditorium and entrance is through the WEST door off Sheldon. Free parking available in the lot north of the building. Price of $40 includes dancing and refreshments with a $20 discount for students. This year, we won’t have a separate walkthrough during the early afternoon. We will walkthrough dances as needed at the ball to make sure everyone can participate.
3:30 pm; Social Gathering
4:00 pm; Grand March and Ball Program
After Party; Location and directions distributed at the Ball. Potluck food and bring instruments!
Sunday, May 5:
12:00 Noon; Farewell Potluck Brunch at the CUMC Annex, 130 S. Sheldon Avenue, Ames Auditorium.
There will be English Country Dances, taught and prompted by Linda Lieberman and Scott Kalberer, with live music provided by Cecil’s Harp and friends.
